Besides this newsletter, I work as Policy and Communication officer for an association within the European bubble. Originally, I thought this job would draw from two distinct skills: communications on one side, policy on the next.

But the more I go forward on the job, the more I realise how interconnected they are. A few weeks ago, during a discussion with a former European Parliament intern now looking for work in EU institutions, I had an epiphany: Communications and Policy are only both sides of the same coin. This coin, or rather this overarching art, is advocacy.

That’s when I understood how there are connected.
