30 days of writing: the 10 most read articles on The Beubble
A special edition for today: let's explore the 10 most read articles of The Beubble. Number two is my favorite.
The first ever article on The Beubble was published on 20 June this year. A month later, which articles did you enjoy the most? Comment on your favorite article below ⬇️
#10 - The tenth most read article is drawn from a serious news subject: the US Supreme Court decision on abortion. This piece is perhaps the most researched and detailed work that I did so far, as I didn’t know anything about the matter.
#9 - What is (not) European Federalism? is perhaps my least favorite piece so far. I wrote it fast, with a draft that was sitting on my computer for a long time. And you can feel it in the style: not so fresh.
#8 - Introducing The Beubble podcast. For this second episode, I explored the still warm Uber Files revelations, the role of France’s Emmanuel Macron and former Commission Neelie Kroes (happy birthday). On the same topic, I discussed Uber’s lobbying strategy later this week.
#7 - Emily O’Reilly is an interesting but overlooked political figure of the EU political scene. This piece draws her portrait and explores the role of the Ombudsman institution.
#6 - A different format in yesterday’s post. I prepared an infographic summarising the names and attributions of the European Parliament’s committees. Let me make a confession: I never studied EU law. Thus documents like this help me greatly in my day job. This infographic was a way to teach myself first. Then I figured it could help some of you too.
#5 - The last remnant of the What’s Up in Brussels? format, a previous newsletter I managed on another platform. Although this weekly brief was discontinued, I am considering setting up a weekly roundup of Brussels news. I will keep you posted.
#4 - My very first article on The Beubble. I’m grateful that you gave it a warm welcome. Thank you. After a month of non-stop campaigning in Brussels for our candidate in the foreign district of BENELUX, I wanted to share with you my views on the never-seen-before situation at the French parliament.
#3 - Entering top-3! This article was a little outside of our original subject, but you liked it nonetheless. I am of the opinion that one does not need to read the press avidly to be a good citizen. Prove me wrong in the comments!
#2 - I want to write about life in Brussels from time to time. And you want it too. I think you also have a thing against company cars, don’t you? I’ll let you know when I’ll start my campaign against these rampant motorised threats to our lives. This piece is perhaps one of my favorites, and I wrote it very easily. I think it shows in the lyrical ending.
#1 - And the winner is… a podcast! That was a first for me, and I’m glad I did. In this podcast, I explored what was said at the G7 summit in Germany. It was the first time I was speaking through a microphone for a large audience, and it seems I did well enough. Worth a listen, perhaps only for the Bare-Chest-Putin joke.
Announcement
That was it. Almost 30 days of writing! It started as a challenge - and as a mean to kill some idle time - and it is now a growing experience. I hope The Beubble can bring you more valuable insights about French and European Politics, with tips to survive Brussels.
I am going on a holiday next week, so I’ll take some time off The Beubble. You will not be receiving emails for seven days from Monday 23. Until the end of this week, I will still publish daily pieces. See you tomorrow in your mailbox!
